Tag:

Have Sony CyberShot ever come a long way. I remember my first one was a clunker and cost a mint. The new generation are smart looking and affoardable. As the “cleverly” worded press release goes, the DSC-T77 is a new line of Cybershot cameras that will carry the following specs:

  • 10 megapixels image sensor (max 3648 x 2736, JPEG)
  • VGA video capturing (640 x 480, MPEG1)
  • Max 3200 ISO
  • Super Steadyshot
  • 9-point autofocus
  • 3.0″ LCD with 16:9 aspect ratio

…in a case no larger than 94 x 57 x 15 mm (width by height by thickness). Looks good for the pockets, but how will it images turn out? (dpreview.com)

Fujifilm Leaks 4 Finepix Cameras

Tag:

fuji_film_finepixIt's not certain at this point whether this was an intentional leak, or the new kid's error that will no doubt cost them their job. Who cares? As long as we get to reap the benefits of this seeped info it's fine - it doesn't matter about the office newbie getting in trouble for exposing Fujifilm's secrets. If it was unintentional, the information is pretty mighty. The cameras in question are the J150w, J110w, J100 and J15 compact cameras. First up is the $199.99 USD J150w, which features a 10 megapixel sensor, 5x optical zoom, a 3-inch LCD display and the things we've come to expect as standard in compacts such as face detection, red eye removal and an SD slot.

Casio EX-F1 Now Has Prerecord Movie Function

Tags: ,

Casio EX-F1 Has Now Casio's EX-F1 camera already recommended itself with its 60 fps burst mode and abilities to shoot 1,200 frames per second SuperSloMo video, but now it looks like it is going to get another solid boost with its new, slightly unnerving firmware upgrades.

According to Casio, the addon will be so-called "prerecord movie" function that apparently bends time and space to begin recording five seconds before the owner of this camera actually presses the movie button. This feature will work with all movie modes, even with the full high definition mode and the aforementioned 1,200 fps mode.

Samsung is making an appeal to the YouTube generation, announcing its new SC-MX20 compact digital camcorder. A followup to the company's SC-MX10, the camcorder is distinctly aimed at the online video market with a resolution of 720 by 480 pixels; however, the camcorder also packs a number of other features—and a price tag—that should make it appealing to aspiring cinematographers, both online and off.
