Dell Goes Green With Enviro PC
Green information technology (IT) can be one of the world’s strongest assets in achieving and sustaining a prosperous, low-carbon economy, Dell Chairman and CEO Michael Dell told attendees gathered at today’s FORTUNE Brainstorm: GREEN. This statement was made as he previewed Dells new enviromentally friendly green PC. This slick looking desktop has yet to be named but plans are to release it later this year. Their new desktop computer is approximately 81 percent smaller than a standard mini-tower desktop, uses up to 70 percent less energy and comes in recycled and recyclable packaging. A great step in helping the enviroment and cutting down the amount of desktop space that we need. Remember back to your first computer. I need a room on it's own just to house the hard drive.
