Today I received my Otterbox Defender Case for the iPhone 4 and I am already impressed. It took me not time at all to snap it all together and my iPhone 4 feels totally bullet proof and ready to go anywhere. For the last couple of weeks I had a cheap plastic film and cheap rubber skin on it taking the phone to golf course to use for it's GPS. I felt like I had to baby it and was afraid of shocking or dropping it. Not anymore.
For those not familiar with the Otterbox Defender Case for the iPhone 4 here are some features:
- Three layers of protection include a hard plastic shell, a protective plastic cover for the screen and a rubber casing which allows ease of access to all buttons and jacks.
– Keeps your iPhone 4 free of dust and scratches on all levels.
- Ratcheting belt clip.
The case is going to make your iPhone a little more thicker and a little more heavier but it is a great trade off for the added protection. Especially if you take your phone to the work site or to the golf course like I do.
The plastic screen case is crystal clear. A big improvement over the 3Gs Defender case that appeared a little bubbly. I have had a cheap plastic screen protector on my iPhone and could never get the bubbles out and dirt from under it. That's not a problem now.
The rubber grip case is a pleasure to have on. I had a cheap case before that had holes in it where the buttons and inputs were. It made cranking up the volume difficult not to mention the dirt and dust that could get into it. The Otterbox Defender case has raised rubber covers around all of the buttons so they are easy to press and the jacks all have flaps that easy to flip up when you need to recharge.
The belt clip is easy to attach your phone to. For the past week I have had to shove mine in my pocket and it was awful. The clip also rotates so you can set your iPhone 4 down as a dock or easel for watching videos.
I will try to update as I get a little more experience with it.
