Heat Resistant Chocolate from Cadbury

Imagine a chocolate bar that didn’t melt? If you are like me you have had a chocolate bar or two melt in your jacket pocket or lunch bag in the summer. Maybe the new product won’t be melt proof but it is a heat resistant chocolate bar. Cadbury has announced that they have developed a chocolate bar that is resistant to heat. The product would be ideal to market in places like Africa of the Middle East where storing a product like chocolate isn’t so easy. There is no information where when the roll out would be or even what the product tastes like. If the product is successful I can’t see any reason not to introduce it to any climate that enjoys warm summers.

Futuristic High-Speed Tube Travel

If you are a fan of Futurama then you are familiar with the traveling tubes that appear at the start of each episode. What if we tell you that something similar is in the works. Not that we will be jumping into tubes that send us around the city but more of a bullet train type tube. Futuristic high-speed tube travel may soon become a reality and making that dreaded trip from New York to Los Angeles could only take 45 minutes. That of course is if you don’t mind travelling at 6,500 mph. The company ET3 says the technology could be available within ten years and would be set up similar to highways and freeways.

Evacuated Tube Transport is an airless, frictionless, maglev-like form of transportation which is safer, cheaper and quieter than trains or airplanes. Six-person capsules travel in the tubes and can reach a maximum speed of 6,500 km/h, and provide 50 times more transportation per kwh. A tube can travel from New York to Beijing in two hours, and make a round-the-world trip in just six hours.

Nutritional Information Added to Google Search Results

If you like to watch what you eat Google has good news for you. They are adding nutritional information to their search results. If you search for nutritional information for certain foods like an orange or banana. More than that really. Nutrition information for over 1,000 fruits, vegetables, meats and meals are being added to Google search results. Just ask how many calories are in an avocado and they will tell you. It will also let you do portions for foods. This might make a number of apps obsolete over time. For now the search results are limited to US search results and will roll out to desktop and mobile search results. I can’t see it not being rolled out to other countries in the future.

DIY Submarine by Justin Beckerman

High school student Justin Beckerman has built a fully functional diy submarine. The incredible invention cost him $2,000 to make and took him six months to complete. He is using the submarine to explore a lake near his house in New Jersey. He is hoping to find something historical. The submarine has ballast tanks to maintain its depth and equilibrium; air vents that bring oxygen down from the surface; a functioning PA and a range of emergency systems including back-up batteries, a siren, strobe lights, a breathing apparatus and a pump to fight leaks. The vessel can remain submerged for up to two hours and travels beneath the waves at one and a half miles per hour.

Now the next advanced level in stealthy office joke electronics is ready for your enjoyment. The Phantom Keystroker may look like a harmless usb thumb drive, but it’s actually a devious contraption of unlimited office-based torture.

Simply discreetly attach the Phantom Keystroker to any extra USB port on your victim’s computer, no drivers needed. The Keystroker emulates a keyboard and mouse and periodically makes random mouse movements, toggles caps-lock and types out odd garbage text and phrases. Switches on the side allow you to choose between keyboard garbage typing, caps lock-toggle, annoying mouse movements or all three. An adjustment dial sets the duration between “events”.
