If it's not expensive enough to set yourself up with a nice little blu-ray disc player you still have to shell out a pretty penny to buy the movies themselves. Warner has announced that this fall they will offer some discounted prices on select titles. A step in the right direction for sure. Consumers can expect to pay between $17 – $20 which may still be a little more expensive than your average DVD but much better than the $30 that they now cost. I don't really have a list of titles as of yet but I would assume that the lot would consist of older titles as well as some new ones. Stay tuned.

This is great news. With the cost of blu-ray players coming down as they have, it stands to reason that the higher cost of movies would still hold people back from switching to Blu-ray. If they can offer enough interesting movies at cheaper prices, they’ll likely be able to convert more people to blu-ray.
