Last week I reported that Windows XP SP3 would be released today but it looks like those plans have fell through. The release has been delayed by Microsoft Corp. citing compatibility issues between the software and its point-of-sale application for small and medium sized businesses. Microsoft has found compatibility issues in an application called Microsoft Dynamics RMS so it is holding off the update until it can get those sorted out. After reading a couple of stories I am still unclear if the update is being held off to everybody or to just certain networks using RMS. Time will tell.
