Windows XP SP3 (SP3) was released yesterday to industry and Mircrosoft plans to make it available to the general public on April 29th. We will be able to get it via Windows Update. Some of the features will include updates to both IE 6 and IE 7 and will also include all other fixes and updates prior to SP3. XP SP3 includes Network Access Protection (NAP), Microsoft's NAC-like security technology that's also built into Vista and Server 2008; 'keyless activation,' a time saver that allows IT administrators to install SP3 without entering product keys for each copy; and detection of so-called 'black hole' network routers that interfere with network performance.
