I don’t know about you, but personally I feel that most video game accessories are really not that essential, and with the Nintendo Wii getting a whole ton of shovelware for this generation while featuring games with simple waggle controls and very little substance, it also makes perfect sense for such a console to get a bunch of accessories that aren’t really worth what you pay for. Surely you don’t need a tennis extension to get a little bit more kick from Wii Sports, do you? After all, playing in a cramped room is bad enough as it is. The Wii Steering Wheel II will up the ante over the previous generation model by offering full compatibility with the Wiimote + Motion Plus. According to the product description, the Wii Steering Wheel II is “simulation controlling, let you feel real and exciting. Enhance the joy of playing games.” I’m not too sure about forking out $10 for a nasty bit of plastic – what about you?

These days it seems that the smaller things are the better and pereniul modder Pocket Lucho has come up with these ubercool Neo Geo mini-arcade consoles. If you like feeling like a giant or, you are in fact, a small person, than the Neo Geo mini-arcade console is just for you.

We’re not sure if Pocket Lucho is making the Neo Geo mini-arcade console for sale or just to show how uber he is. In any case, he’s has kindly put up a how-to video on YouTube for all you wannabe moders to have a go at making one of these Neo Geo mini-arcade consoles yourselves.

Clothing designer Natalie Hutcheson from Los Angeles, a.k.a. Etsy crafter HutchMe, has created a nice geeky line of belt buckles inspired by popular retro video games.

These buckles are solid brass toned metal buckles, inset with shiny metallic graphics. They are all hand assembled and set with a tough, clear industrial epoxy finish. They are very durable, and resist scratches and scuffs. The buckles measure 3 1/4″ accross, and 2 1/2″ tall. They will fit any snap belt, up to 1 3/4″ wide.

I can’t remember the last time I was playing some online game on the Wii for that long. In order to compete in the ever-growing online gaming industry, the Nintendo Wii will have to put out more games that can be played online. I suppose a router designed for it is just the next logical step.

As you can see, the Wii router is designed to match your Nintendo Wii and even comes in that wonderful Wii white. You can also see it has all the ports you need for the setup.

Unfortunately, it appears to be available only in Japan. Why isn’t it being marketed all over the world? Who knows. Considering the rarity of the Wii, perhaps they want to make the accessory even more rare.

If you really want this router, and you are in Japan, you should be able to purchase it for about $50 and they went on sale September 18th.

Here is something every little boy needs in their home, or every other 30-40 something that is hooked on the XBox360. A full sized arcade version that should be released for home consumption over the next couple of months. One of the only knocks so far are those gaddly Xbox controllers sticking out like a sore thumb. I guess Quasimoto Interactive didn't want to put something nicer like a joystick on it. It's currently being tested and if I hear anything more I will be sure to let you know.

My question, how do you return it when you get the red circle of death after 10 hours of play? Time will tell.
